My point being it's time for the gloves to come off and fight for our lives! This is not a subculture but a industry that has been melined for decades. We as independent business men have paid our dues. It's time for corporate buy ins to set forth a national advertizing blitz. We are the last true American Industry.

Re: Finger Pointing 2011

Gene,
Your comment is funny if it weren't so sad at the same time. The blame game doesn't work. We are either part of the problem or part of the solution. Sure, we should call things as we see it, hopefully like a gentlemen or lady speaks and writes. But the key is to look reality in the eye, and let's dig in and start doing and stop wagging.

Re: Finger Pointing 2011

Your right the finger pointing just isn't working. In any situation, 5% will do what it takes to be successful. We all need to decide whether we are part of that 5% or the 95% who will grab today's candy and run.

Re: Lessons from Bags of candy for Manufactured Housing

Amen brother!

John Maxwell said; "If you are all alone at the top, you are not a leader, you are a hiker." Leadership, like MHMSM is what is taking us back up the mountain -- only this time, we will all be on the same page as an industry with a proper vision of what can be 10 years from now, 20 years from now, and beyond. We have to leave this industry in a condition that makes it possible for future generations to enjoy homeownership as well as an industry that provides meaningful employment. Bigger feats have been accomplished - we can do this!!

Re: Quotes of the day

This quotation is very nice and correct. Thank you for taking time to string them together. I heard once that the most important word in our language is 'remember.' When we remember the importance of team work and what we can accomplish together, we will be cooperative and respectful and work to a greater end. When we remember the value of our time we will use it more wisely. If we remember what sacrifices our armed forces have made for us, we will give our best because someone lost their life for our freedom to do so. When we remember the ultimate sacrifice that was made for us we are not resistant to following His example every day.

Thank you for reminding me of where higher ground is - I'll do better today because of your words. Tomorrow, I'll come back and drink from the well and be inpired again.

Thank you again!
